SANDY MELROY

With a background in teaching and a specialty in textiles, I used a career in sewing  and design as a springboard into my current passion for hand painted silk. I learned the art of silk painting while living in England, and I draw my inspiration from nature's flowers and foliage.

I love to share the beauty of working with color in my pieces of wearable art. I encourage creativity and offer instruction to people of all ages through demonstrations, workshops, and artist-in-residence projects. It's a joy to connect and encourage others to participate in growing the arts on an individual and community level.
