Maria Victoria Walker, first dabbled in the world of art by painting as an afternoon hobby. While working in a corporate landscape and taking care of her family, she found a new world in Art. There was no formal training, but over the years, Maria Victoria has blossomed into her persona of Lila Brochá. She grew up in Manila, Philippines but later immigrated in 1989 to the United States. By using her painting skills she incorporates memories from her past and present with texture, patterns, and expressions of color.
After retirement in 2021, art has become her full time passion. She became a member of SAGE Green Bay in the same year, and the Green Bay Art Colony in 2022. She participated in SAGE Green Bay Toy Maker’s Fundraising for the last three years displayed at the Neville Public Museum. Being a member of the Green Bay Art Colony, she has participated in its Annual Juried Exhibit at the Neville since 2022. She has art pieces accepted to the 77th and 78th Neville Art Annual Juried Exhibit. She had paintings displayed at The Art Garage, Green Bay City Hall, Art Connective, Roberta’s Gallery at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, S.A.G.E. Gallery, Wisconsin Maritime Museum and Neville Public Museum. Most recently, she has an accepted piece for John Michael Kohler Art Center in Sheboygan for the upcoming "Knock First" Exhibit and the 62nd Wall-to-Wall Juried Exhibit at the Hardy Gallery in Ephraim, WI.
