CYNTHIA TUMPACH

ABOUT CYNTHIA

After receiving an art degree from U.W.- Madison, oil painting became her favorite medium. Outside of college, she continued her oil painting studies with John Gordon, Ken DeWaard, Bonnita Budysz, Diane Rath, Craig Blietz, and Shelby Keefe.  She considers herself a landscape artist working from digital photo references or doing outdoor plein air paintings.  Interpretive realism would best describe her style featuring primarily the rural scenes of N.E. Wisconsin.

Since 1987 Cynthia has taught oil painting classes for NWTC in the Continuing Education Program, and retired her teaching position in 2013.  She continues her career in landscape painting, exhibiting her work in a variety of juried shows and galleries.  She lives and paints from her home studio in Green Bay, WI.
