Wisconsin's four seasons contribute to my continual inspiration through the heightened awareness of my five senses. In addition to observing breathtaking scenery and wildlife antics, the breezes, tastes, fragrant smells, and bird & animal calls awaken my deep-down need to capture nature's entire drama on canvas. My creative drive and passion has been much stronger since attending several wildlife workshops with Robert Bateman, John Seerey-Lester, Paco Young, Terry Isaac, Carl Brenders and Jim Wilcox. Hundreds of new ideas for future paintings come to me constantly. I am continuosly composing paintings in my mind when I am not at my drawing table.
My paintings are completed when they touch the heart of someone viewing it, and brings a smile to their face. Many of my art clients have shared personal stories with me of happy memories brought to mind when they see my artwork. Most recently I have enjoyed doing paintings depicting Washington Island and its wonderful people. These paintings always begin with an island visit, making new friends, doing sketches and taking photos. A collection of this art can be seen at Nicolet National Bank's main branch in Green Bay on Washington Street.
